Men's half moon reading glasses have a lens that covers only the lower half of the frame. You read through the lens, then look over the top to see across the room, without taking them off.
Who are half moon glasses for?
They suit anyone who reads in short bursts and needs to look up often: reading a menu, checking a receipt, working at a counter or a desk with people around. Because the top half is open, distance stays clear, which is why many people wear them on a cord around the neck.
Half moon or bifocal?
Half moon glasses give you the open view by leaving the top empty. Bifocals put plain glass in the top half instead. Choose half moons if you like a lighter, smaller frame. Choose bifocals if you want a full frame and protection for the whole eye.
